  • Juvenile Offender

  • Care and Treatment

  • State Environmental Enforcement

  • Enforcement of other County Rules and Regulations.

In addition, the Scott County Attorney acts as a county counselor and advises the county on civil and business legal matters. As a service to the community, the County Attorney assists other government-related agencies when appropriate.

The County Attorney’s Office also serves as a resource for crime victims.  We value and work closely with community and regional partner agencies that serve the victims, suspects, children and families in our community.

This office maintains a comprehensive diversion program, partnering with the Scott City Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department to provide supervised diversions.  The purpose of the program is not only to hold offenders accountable for their actions, but to address the underlying causes of their contact with the criminal justice system.

Our office does not provide legal advice, nor does it engage in private civil matters. The County Attorney is not a resource of public information and does not provide copies of court or police records to the general public. If needed, the district court or local law enforcement should be a citizen’s primary contact for all requests of records.
