As a Victim in the State of Kansas, your rights are listed in the Kansas Victims Bill of Rights. Your rights are the driving force for the attorney’s duties to include prompt notification of all public hearings, provide assistance to victims of crime, locate additional resources to assist victims and their families, arrange for witness appearances, and provide support throughout the criminal process. The system is similar in juvenile proceedings.
